It was the first time the Compassion Meditation Center had ever held such a marvelous event like this. Even though the two monastic groups, Vietnamese monastics & the Tibetan monks, just met for their very first time, they treated each others like brothers of the same family.
The community of the Compassion Meditation Center gained much benefits through this Gaden Shartse tour group. From sacred Tibetan ceremonies, Dharma lectures, healing sessions, house and business blessings as well as witnessing the teadious of the making of the sand mandala, many people learn methods to keep their body and mind healthy and increase their faith in the Buddha Dharma.
At the same time, the Gaden Shartse Tour group has received much loving kindness from the Venerable abbot Thay Thich Tu Luc and the monastic sangha, and a grand generous donation from the Compassion Center's community.
Many thanks to those who help make this event beneficial and successful, from the Venerable abbot, to the cook, translators, volunteer members, and most importantly those who showed up for the 7-day events.
